Distress is good.

Before you judge me as a sadist from the headline, I will get to it straight. In a graphic artist world, creating a fade or aging any art is called a distress. It is just a click away in the design software to apply distress on any object and make it appear faded to glory.

Few weeks back,I was trying to make some samples of  coloring sheets for Aure : the kinds you can take home and paint yourself, while color sampling a sudden urge made me try distressing manually  by hand. I took some pebbles, sponge and fork and tried to scrap of the base ink in a harmonious pattern. The results impressed me.Lord Natraja looked totally mystique!

Born and raised in a charming city of southern India, my new life in Seattle has provoked me to share my amusing episodes in this alien land. Although I used to work as a full time fashion designer, I am now a happy housewife exploring ways to chew the brains of my loving husband :) With my diary going public you can read my mind voice,travels,cooking/crafting experiments and much more.
